Starting seeds isn’t always easy. You may run into problems along the way, but if you follow these tips, you’ll be off to a great start!

When it comes to plants, they all have the same basic needs: sun, food, and water.

When starting seeds indoors, you need to create the optimal environment that meets all of these needs and then some, which will help your seeds germinate into strong, healthy seedlings in the garden.

Use the Right Temperature
While plants have different temperature needs, most seeds should have an average soil temperature of around 75 degrees F for germination. This means that if you’re starting your seeds in an unheated greenhouse, cold frame, or other location that isn’t temperature-controlled, you’ll need to provide additional heat to ensure proper germination.
